Go in Google and tape : "Merde, j'ai plus que deux oeufs !" and you'll find this recipe ! She is written in a very funny way, to tease a little bit all bakers who say bakery must be very exact, precise.
It's true, bakery need more precision than usual cooking. But, please, if you pour 107 gramme of flour instead of 100 grammes, don't get sick !
It's not as much important as professionals can tell it.
What I like on this recipe is we use just one bowl and one spatula. No whisk, no small bowls ...etc.
The real lazy recipe !
And with 2 eggs !
I've changed 3 things : first, less butter ! My first cake was really, REALLY fat ... I almost get stuck on it !
And vanilla and salt. Because a cake without vanilla and a little bit of salt is not a cake.
The result is a little bit crunchy and it was good enough to fill my children of joy.
Here what you'll need ... following the french way !
- 201,57 grammes of chocolate
- 173,12 grammes of white sugar
- 118,98 grammes of unsalted butter
- 102,65 grammes of flour
- 2 eggs
- A little bit of baking powder, maybe 1 teaspoon
- A little bit of salt,
- A little bit of vanilla liquid, well, 1 teaspoon too.
Your oven must be preheated at 200°C (392°F / Th 6-7)
Step 1 :
In a large bowl, let melt butter and chocolate in microwave, 25 seconds by 25 seconds, stirring.
Step 2 :
In the same bowl, pour all the ingredients, without taking care of the order. Just need to mix correctly.
In the oven for 25 minutes.
Let it cool totally when you'll it out of the oven. I've ended it with chocolate topping.
Bon appétit !
Recapitulative, following the french recipe !
- 200 grammes of chocolate
- 170 grammes of white sugar
- 120 grammes of unsalted butter
- 100 grammes of flour
- 2 eggs
- A little bit of baking powder, maybe 1 teaspoon

Dear Axelle-Hm..that is a real interesting title.
ReplyDeleteI have invested in a kitchen scale so as to make your recipes easier to perform. Of course, when you are saying grammes we would say cups. When you add milk in your recipes, you call for "cl". Centilitres? Your conversion website gives "ml". And those millilitres are on my glass liquid measuring containers. So, we usually need to convert the "cl" to ml or ounces. Or teaspoons, depending. See the gymnastics? Believe me, I am looking for metric measuring cooking devices. Thank you for your effort to make these available. It is worth the effort to make them and we know our recipes and can make them in our sleep at this point. Making yours, has awakened us to fun in the kitchen again. Regards-Jamie
Dear Jamie, you're right and you made me laugh, most of all with ml ! First, I have to write "gram" and not "gramme", which is the french word !
Deleteyes, when I say "cl", it's centiliters and "ml" milliliters !
I'm really sorry for giving you so much headaches, Jamie !! :D
Why, oh why, the entire world don't have the same measures system !! Between cups, grams, ounces, celsius, Fahrenheit, teaspoon, we just become mad !
I'm going to try to find a better conversion website? If you know one, please, tell me, I'll make the change !
Oh, I want some, could you please send me a slice? :)
ReplyDeleteImmediately !! I'm waiting for you, coffee is ready ! :)
