The relay salad ! (la salade relais)

Two eggs are in a fridge.
The first says to the other one :
"Hey ! You're so strange ! Why are you brown ? And why do you have so much hairs ?
-... 'cause I'm a kiwi, idiot !"

... OK ...
After this hilarious digression (no comment, please...), you could say :
"Yeah, strange title, once again".
And you would be right !

BUT ... In my opinion, it was perfect for this dish, between winter fruits as kiwi and spring fruits as strawberries.

The first french strawberries are here.
WELCOME ! WE WERE WAITING FOR YOU SO HARD !
Dear strawberry, you are spring symbol ! When you're on our table, we know everything can't be bad !
Even Baby Rabbit loves you !

Here what you'll need for this delicious strawberry and kiwi's salad, for 4 persons.
  • 250 grammes of strawberries
  • 2 kiwis fruits
  • 1 orange (or 1/2 cup of orange juice)
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 1/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract.

Step 1 :
Rinse strawberries without taking off the stalk. Cut them in pieces and kiwis also.

Step 2 :
Pour the orange juice, then the lemon juice.

Step 3 :
Then, add the sugar and vanilla.

Stir gently. What a difficult recipe ...
THAT'S IT !
Bon appétit !

    1. Dear Jamie, and you can add some rum if you like it. I just went to see some information and picture about Oregon. This is a real beautiful and close to nature place. Between ocean and woods. I've heard about Portland but never knew where it exactly was. And Sutherlin is described as a "hunting and fishing paradise", full of animals ! It must be very pleasant to live over there. :)
