Mushrooms and onion omelette (Omelette aux champignon et oignon)

Once again, I've changed my template's blog.

And I have to say, I'm not totally satisfied of it. Tell me what you think about it, please. Do you like it, not much ?

Maybe I'm going to change it once again.

I love changement.

Forgive me ... :)

How are you today ?
Tonight, we'll have friends for diner... Well, to SHARE diner and not to eat them !

So I've baked and cooked all day long ! I'm a little bit tired. I'm sharing with you, today, an omelette recipe. It's easy, quick and ... cooked by my husband !

V-I-N-C-E-N-T ! VINCENT YEAH !

I love when my husband cooks. It means I won't. So I love AAAAALL he does !
Without conditions.

Here what you'll need :

  • 6 eggs
  • 1 glass of milk (don't take care about water on the pic...)
  • 1 onion
  • Some mushrooms (the ones you like)
  • Some neutral oil and unsalted butter
  • And some frozen small chives if you have; You can use parsley too.

Step 1 :
Now you know it : in oil and butter, let brown onion. Then add mushrooms cut in slices.
Let cook for 5-10 minutes.

Step 2 :
In the mean time, whisk eggs and milk. Pour the chives.

 ... Don't use a glass ...

Step 3 :
Pour the mixture on the mushrooms and onion.

Step 4 :
With a large wooden spoon, pull edge back over edge.

Step 5 :
Then, when a side seems cooked, turn the omelette. For that, you'll need a large plate... Or my husband !

Weeeee are the Champion my frieeends !! Weeeee keep on turning till the end ...

Step 6 :
Wait for 5 if you like it creamy or 5 more if you like it a little more dry. And it's ready.
Bon appétit !

As we say here, often, no need too much sophistication : simple ingredients are the best !

  2. Dear Axelle-I do like your template. I have handmade stationary just like it and it's lovely. I look forward to your next choice. I know we would love to see shots of your town up and down the left and right side of your page. For instance, a photo of your town's market, the local donkey with the panier des fleurs de lavande, older gentlemen playing petanque, little children on their way to the local elementary school, your shelf of cookbooks (which you probably never need to use), etc..
This omelette looks delicious. And as you are entertaining, it's good that you are feeling your old self again!

    2. Thank you, Jamie, for all you said.
I hear what you write about some pictures about where I live. I'm a little hesitating, because it would need for me to go everywhere with a camera, and I'm not a photographer.
But I promise, this is something I will think about and let you know if I change my mind :)
      Friendly !

My husband comes from from a family where the dad doesn't cook at ALL ! He learned a lot !! Because I come from a family where I couldn't touch a pan !!
The beginning of our story was funny and ... full of pizza !! :D
