Sweet chocolate muffins, how much I love you...

Thank you for your sweet words, friends ! I had a great time.

Do you remember this sentence, in my last post :
« No, because, I show off about this night, but, after 11pm, I'm scared to be slouch in a sofa, with some dribble running down from my open mouth ...» ?

It didn’t happen.

Just because it was totally impossible to close one single little eyelid !
The sound was so high, I almost have lost my two ears.
But I haven’t lost my feet. Even so, there were so many people dancing ON them.

In French, we’ve got a sentence which says “A chaque âge, ses plaisirs” : Each age has got its own pleasures.
And I tell you, friends, 40 years old, is not the night club's age anymore !

But, with my girlfriends, we laughed and screamed and sang so much, that today I’ve got the Barry White’s voice.

Really, we had such a wonderful and funny night.
Just to prepare myself to the second night who is coming soon.

Saturday 24th, I'll do it again, with family and close friends.
But this time, we’ll be in a restaurant. There will be music but we will be just between ourselves.

On Sunday, while I went to bed at 3 o’clock in the morning, I woke up at 6.30. As a zombie.

Most of all, as I just didn’t have the strength to take off my make up the night before, so please, don’t make the mistake to think I’m exaggerating when I say, “a zombie”.

This point too is a terrible life's injustice. When you’re 20 years old, you wake up 2 hours after party time, fresh as a rose. At 40 years old, you don’t look like a rose anymore.
You look like their prickles.

When I’m in a zombie mood, I feel like grumpy. I’m Grumpy, in Zombiland.
Such a pleasure for my family …

So to forget my bad mood and terrific face, I have baked those yummy chocolates muffins.

You'll need :
  • 3 eggs
  • 100 grammes of unsalted butter
  • 60 grammes of sugar
  • 50 grammes of regular flour
  • 200 grammes of dark chocolate
  • 1 tablespoon of half and half cream
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla liquid
  • 100 grammes of chocolate chips.
Your oven must be preheated at 180°C (350°F / Th 6).

Step 1 :
Whisk together eggs and sugar. But not too much.

Step 2 :
Pour your flour everywhere, and most of all, on your whisk and stir together.

Step 3 :
Let melt butter and chocolate together. If you use microwave, as I do, just do it 30 seconds by 30 seconds. between each 30 seconds, stir gently.

Step 4 :
Add the cream.

And the vanilla. Most of all, don't take a clean spoon. Be dirty.

Stir together. It looks like a ribbon.

Step 5 :
Finally, pour the chocolate chips.

In the oven for 15 minutes !

After that .. Just enjoy and die !! ...

Who sais diamonds were women's best friends ??...
Don't care about diamonds.
But give some of those muffins ...

Bon appétit !!

Let's try some Zucchini pie (Tarte aux courgettes)

In november 21th, I'll be 40. This is just twice 20 years ...

So, to forget this terrible fatality, I have decided to celebrate it twice.

And my two birthdays will look like the two part of a life.
Before 20 years old and after 20 years old.

My husband is a very kind man. And most of all, he knows me by heart. So, once a month or so, I use to go to restaurant, with 4 of my girlfriends.

When I'm with them, I feel like we would be 20 years old truly. We're eating and eating, talking and talking, laughing and laughing, drinking and ...
We're spending such a great time together. I love our "single ladies night".
During those moments, I'm not a wife, I'm not a mother anymore. For some hours, I'm just me.

So, tonight, we're going to eat together and most of all, after, they take me to dance ! To move our anatomy !

And this, to the terrific hour of 2 o'clock in the morning (if I don't fall asleep before).
No, because, I show off about this night, but, after 11pm, I'm scared to be slouch in a sofa, with some dribble running down from my open mouth.

But I try not to lose my dignity.

And the second birthday will be to celebrate the second part of my life, with a part of my family, my childhood friends and some very important persons to me.
And as I would be trained the week before, I will move once again my anatomy.

No fear !

We're going to share this time in a restaurant, dancing once again. And we're going to eat.
And drink. And dance.

And the day after, I will have the feeling to be 70 years old. It will be wonderful.

So, before leaving and going to the bathroom to try to hide my future age with make up, I want to share with you this easy recipe.

You'll need :
  • 2 zucchini
  • 2 onions
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 4 eggs
  • 40 cl of half and half cream
  • 1 frozen pastry (no time for a real one !)
  • Some thyme
  • Some olive oil.
Your oven must be preheated at 210°C (410°F / Th 7)

Step 1 :
Let your onions brown in some olive oil. And when they begin to gold, add the garlic pressed.

Step 2 :
Cut your zucchini in slices or triangles and make them brow on a middle fire. They must begin to caramelize.

Step 3 :
Stir together eggs, cream and thyme, and salt and pepper.

Step 4 :
Unroll pastry and pour zucchini and creamy mixture in it.

In your oven for 45 minutes.

 I promise : she's not burned !! ... Maybe I'm going to ask a new camera for my 2 birthdays ...

Bon appétit !

Mirror, O my mirror, tell me, tonight, who will be soon the oldest one...
BWWWAAAAAAHHHHHHH !
