So yesterday, my mother, my two children, my sister and my niece, we went to the opera.
I have the CD, at home, and my son uses to hear it sometimes. So I knew he would like it.
But my daughter...
At the third act, my mother and I would agree : she was too young ;)
She told me :
"Listen to me, mum ... Yes, I like to hear some arias of carmen, SOMETIMES...
When you sing it (yes... I sing it sometimes ... WHAT ??), you make me laugh (where you've got the answer to my previous question ...), BUT ...
please, if you love me, the next time... Leave me at home with dad ...".
It lasted 4 hours !!! FOUR HOURS !! I didn't remember it was so long !
At the end, my girl was muttering :
"Oh please ... Kill her and basta !"
It began at 2.30 pm, we came back to home, at 6.30 pm.
At 9.00 pm, my husband had to go to watch a rugby match, with friends.
My son supplied to go with him :
"Dad, I need to unwind ! Please, please, please, pleaaaaaase !
Yes, I know there's school tomorrow morning, I promise I won't cry to get out of bed. Yes, I know it's raining, but I don't care, take the umbrella !!".
He went ...
And he went back, exhausted, totally wet, but relieved !
... I won't dare to tell the word "opera" for some years !
This week end, I cooked Zucchini.
Here what you'll need (for 4 persons) :
- 6 zucchini
- 2 leeks
- 1 big onion
- 3 clove of garlic
- Olive oil.
Step 1 :
It begins the same way as usually. Unfortunately, on this point, I'm very foreseeable...
Cut you onion, let it brown on a low fire, with some salt. When it's golden, add the garlic.
Step 2 :
Cut your leek in the long way, to wash it correctly. Because it's always very unpleasant to eat some sand...
And cut it in pieces.
Step 3 :
Cut the zucchini too.
Step 4 :
And add all those little people in your pan, on a high fire !
Let them brown.
Step 5 :
When it looks like this...
... Cover with a lid and, on a low fire, let it cook for some minutes again.
Look ... My lid has an aureole !
I've got a saint lid !
That's ready ! It's almost sugared and sweet. So delicious and simple.
Bon appétit !
Recapitulative (for 4 persons) :

- 3 clove of garlic
- Olive oil.
Cut you onion, let it brown on a low fire, with some salt. When it's golden, add the garlic.
Cut your leek and your zucchini in pieces.
And add all those little people in your pan, on a high fire !
Let them brown.
When it begins to have beautiful brown colors, cover with a lid and, on a low fire, let it cook for some minutes again.
I love zucchini and I often make them in the pan, not exactly with the same ingredients you used bu very similar. They are delicious and perfect as sidedish for meat.
ReplyDeleteCiao.
Thank you, Orchidea. As there are zucchini for a long period, where I live, I try to change recipes time to time.
DeleteYum yum yum, I love this! I don't use the leeks and usually add a little bit of parsley at the end and eat this with small pasta and parmesan cheese. Ohh yummy!!!
ReplyDeleteUsually, I use parsley too, but, since I use to give it to the rabbit, I forgot to use it for myself !!!
